StorylineZwei Jahre nachdem die fnfkpfige Familie Danner samt ihrer Magd auf einem abgelegenen Bauernhof mit einer Spitzhacke erschlagen wurde kommt die junge Kathrin zur Beerdigung ihrer Mutter zurck ins Dorf. Der brutale Mord ist noch immer nicht aufgeklrt. Die Dorfbewohner wirken auch nicht sonderlich interessiert daran, ja sind sogar der Tat gegenber nicht unbedingt negativ eingestellt. Galt der alte Danner doch als geiziger Tyrann und auch die beiden Kinder seiner Tochter sollen seine eigenen gewesen sein. Je mehr sich Kathrin mit dem zwei Jahre zurckliegenden Geschehen befasst, um so deutlicher wird die Schuld der in Lgen und Schweigen verfangenen Dorfgemeinschaft, aus deren Mitte wohl der Mrder stammen muss
